バンコクにも日本に負けない位大きな中華街（ヤワラート）があり、
その中のサンペン通り、通りと言っても人がすれ違うのがやっと位の狭い通りで
通りの両脇には衣類、アクセサリー、雑貨などの小さなお店がひしめきあっていて
お値段もとにかく安いので、若い女の子達を中心にとにかくごちゃがえしている。
そんな狭い通りの中をバイクが通ったりするからボーッとして歩いていると
危ない危ない。
そんなサンペン通りから路地を入った所にフカひれスープのみを出すお店がある。
狭い路地にテーブルとイスがち置かれているだけでテーブル横を
頻繁に人が行き来するごちゃごちゃっとしたこんな所なのですが
姿煮とは言わないが、しっかりフカひれの姿をしたヒレが入っていて
クンオップウンセン（春雨と有頭エビの蒸し物）で良く見かける土鍋に
入ってくるのでボリュームも○。
これが200バーツ（約￥640）でいただける。
フカひれの量が更に増えたワンサイズ上だと300バーツ（約￥960）
具もシンプルにフカひれとパクチーのみだけどお味は◎！なのです。
厨房って言ってもテーブルの反対側にフカひれおじさんがこんな感じで作って
いるのですが、テーブルとおじさんの間は人が1人通れる位しかない。

カニの爪1本、椎茸、もやし、パクチーなども入っているが、フカひれの量を考えるとヤワラートの300バーツのフカひれと言い勝負。
とにかく200バーツも800バーツもどちらも安くてボリュームがあってお味も◎！
中華街はありとあらゆる中華食材が安く買え、立派な中国茶の専門店もあって
いろんなお茶を試飲するのもまた楽しい。食材以外も問屋街のようなものだから
ヤワラートは１日楽しめる。
