毎年、3月21日は母の通う教会のバザーがある。
母がクリスチャンと言う事で、小学校の頃は日曜学校に通っていた私。
その後は特に私はクリスチャンになったわけではないのですが、
母が毎年教会のバザーでタイ製品を販売しているの事もあり、
最初はバザーの準備とタイ製品の販売の手伝いをしたのがきっかけで、
数年前からは、ゲーンキャオワーン（グリーンカレー）とカオパット（タイチャーハン）を出させていただいている。
1年に1度のこの日、私は神様に「1年間無事に過ごす事が出来た事を感謝します。」と言う気持ちも含め、カレーとチャーハンの売り上げを
「年に1度のまとめて献金！」と言う事にしてしまっている。
祖母にスイートバジルの葉を摘んでもらったり、バイマックルの葉脈を取って
もらったり、母には材料を切るのを手伝ってもらたり･･･、今年は父がちょうど
帰国していたので味見と荷物運びの手伝いをしてもらったり･･･。
家族の協力を得ながらなんとかやってきている。（感謝！）
ただ、作るのと販売も独りなので、毎年今の所カレー40食前後が限界･･･。
しかし、今年はちょうど「王ジャパン決勝！」の放送時間とバザー開始がちょうど重なっていたので、今年のバザーの人出はちょっと厳しいかな･･･。
そんな思いでスタートしましたが、
開始から2時間30分、用意したカレー約50食、チャーハン27食無事完売！
毎年、販売も独りなのでバタバタ、フル回転なのですが、
今年は、当日売り場にタイ食材でお世話になっているFさんと小学校5年生の
息子さんに手伝っていてだける事となり、バタバタする事なく本当に助かりました。
